Richard Bazin

Richard is also a British Cycling qualified Level 2 coach. Having told everyone that he would end his own cycling career when the younger Thanet Go Ride riders started to dip below 30 minutes for a '10' he is currently in negotiations about his future...... His bikes aren't for sale yet though.

Teresa Childs

Teresa has been a recreational cyclist for many years, Enjoying family rides at Fowlmead, holidays cycling in Italy and the odd charity bike ride. I joined Thanet RC in 2010 and became a Time-trialing "Go-ride mum" winning the Thanet RC Ladies Trophy back in 2011, after 2 years of injury keeping me off the bike, I turned to helping the Go-ride section of the club, being Ladies Representative for Thanet RC and marshalling.

In January 2014 I completed my Level 2 coaching course. I am looking forward to coaching both at Go-ride and some ladies sessions, timetrialing and just spending some more time on my bikes.

Jo Smith

Jo Smith has over ten years of racing and coaching experience. She is a British Cycling Activity Coach and a Level 2 track-specific coach.

She has just returned from four years racing in Europe where she raced road, track and cyclocross for a French women’s team, taking part in some international races. Now back in the UK, Jo is teaching full time and still racing whenever she can! She will be coaching at the Go-Ride club as well as running some women’s race training sessions.

Annie Davis

Annie Davis has been a Level 2 coach since 2011 and has since completed Level 2 MTB and Level 2 road/TT.

She is currently working on her Level 3 MTB portfolio. She was born into a cycling family in the Cotswolds and started racing at the age of ten and has enjoyed competing in road, TT and cross country MTB.

She turned to coaching as injury has prevented her from racing and she enjoys seeing others develop in the sport that she loves.

Helen Hill

Helen is also a Level 2 coach. She has cycled all her life but only joined Thanet RC in January 2013 following the death of her husband because her two young sons were keen to get involved in competitive cycling.

Helen said "I had always been a mountain biker but a few years ago friends encouraged me to get a road bike. Since then I have completed a number of cycling challenges including riding from London to Paris for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. I am keen to share my love of this sport with others and especially like encouraging the girls to get involved."

Steve Langman

Steve raced road and track cycling in his youth (some time ago now), although always a cyclist he returned to regular cycling in 2003 and has completed a number of challenge rides including all 3 days of Tour of Wessex, La Marmotte, Dreilander Giro (Stelvio Pass) and rides in Flanders and on Mont Ventoux.

As a result of encouraging his own children to participate in the sport Steve joined our club and completed his Level 2 course in 2012 to help with our Go Ride session and race events. Steve is passionate about the sport in all forms, he even makes up the numbers in occasional races.

Steve Quincy

Steve has completed his British Cycling Level.2 coaching and has years of experience riding and racing in road events and time trials.
