Although this week’s time trial at Betteshanger CP was billed as a 4-up, we didn’t get any teams of 4 onto the start line. Our only team of 4 became a three up when Neil Gerrard went down with Covid earlier in the day. We did get 3 teams of 2 taking part, along with 13 solo riders.
Conditions were warm but with a steady headwind on the main straight. Times of the regular riders were very much in the expected range. Dougie Tulett was fastest solo boy with a new PB of 24.50, while Nina Reid was fastest solo girl in 29.07. Possibly a PB for Nina too?.
Fastest time overall was shared with the 3-up team of Mat Lister, Rob Nicholas and Steve Wilkinson and the fastest solo, Shawn Manning, both recording 22.11.
Annie Davis, making a first appearance at an evening 10 this year, was fastest woman with 35.02. Fastest 2-up pairing was Pete Huckstep and Brian Hood with 25.16, while the junior pairing of Ferne Peirce and Toby Clayson was second in a time of 26.30.
All times can be found in the PDF file.
