In spite of a cold wind and grey skies, the final evening 10 of 2014 attracted a good field of 14 junior and 42 senior riders. The weather got brighter as the evening progressed, but the strong NE wind persisted. The times were broadly similar to the previous week, but there were a number of PB’s to report, including Olly Dickson, Sarah Beevers, Nic Fennell, Dan Weale, Jon White and a course PB for Sam Bradford.
The Thanet RC juniors were out in numbers, in preparation for the GHS finals on 13th September. Fastest of these was Olly Dickson with a fine 23.19, in second place to Calum Anderton, the current GHS champion, who recorded 22.31.
Once again second claim member Chris Fennell put in one of his consistent rides and was first with 20.24, and PMR team mate Sam Bradford in second place improved his Fowlmead PB to 21.16. Thanet RC’s fastest senior was Simon Henderson with 22.25. Times can be found in the attachments.
Thanks as always go to our volunteers and this week they were Teresa Childs, Pete Huckstep, Malcolm Adams, Chris Redmond, Andy McCall and Dave Mastin.
