The latest evening “10” was held in challenging conditions at Betteshanger. There was a strong and cold easterly which made speed down the straight very fast but life very hard around the back of the circuit. However, this didn’t stop 61 riders from signing on, 11 juniors and 50 seniors.
Some riders obviously coped better with the conditions and actually recorded better times than the previous week, whilst others were noticeably slower. Our fastest junior was Ollie Robinson with 21.52, just beating Dan Martin into second with 22.04. These two times were also the fastest overall, as the fastest senior rider was Simon Henderson with 22.05, which was only the third fastest of the evening. Times can be found in the attached PDF documents.
Many thanks as usual go to our helpers; this week they were Brian Hood, Teresa Childs, Chris Redmond, Tony Arnold, Trevor Hammond, Terry Fearn, Andy McCall and Dave Mastin.
Please note that the event at Betteshanger on 27th April is a 25 mile one. In order to run this, the first rider will start at 6.15pm sharp, with signing on closing at 6.00pm. We also have to be out of the park by 8.00pm, so please consider this if you are thinking about taking part. The start is on the back straight of the top loop, and is approximately 12.25 laps, finishing where the 10’s finish.
