The first evening “10” on the Thanet Way course attracted a very good field of 34 riders. This was a result of the weather, which was sunny, warm and with light winds.
Fastest ride of the night was by Chris Fennell with an excellent time of 20.14. I think this is close to the course , and is the fastest time in the last 4 seasons on this course. Second place went to James Mapley (Blazing Saddles) with 21.11. Two Thanet RC juniors also rode and took the next two places with Dan Martin in third with 22.04, just one second ahead of Ollie Robinson (22.05).
As usual, thanks go out to this weeks volunteers; George Pittock, Lawrence Martin, Malcolm Adams, Steve Wright, Sue Shields, Teresa Childs, Jason Wares, Andy McCall and Dave Mastin.
