This week, we had a very large field of 64 riders signing on for the penultimate evening time trial. This comprised 13 juniors, 49 seniors and a senior + junior tandem. Conditions were fine but very breezy with a strong tailwind behind the riders on the way down the main straight. On the whole, the times were slightly down on those from last week.
Reigning GHS champion, Calum Anderton of Kingsnorth Wheelers, was the fastest of the juniors, with a time of 22.34, which was also the third fastest time overall. Fastest Thanet RC junior was Ollie Robinson with 24.13.
Once again, second claim member Chris Fennell was fastest senior with a very good time of 20.26. Fastest Thanet RC senior was Seb Dickson on his road bike in 6th position. Seb’s time was 23.12. Times can be found in the attachments.
As always, thanks go to our band of volunteers who help out and ensure that the event can take place. This week, these were Teresa Childs, Nicky Robinson, Pete Huckstep, Terry Fearn, Simon Henderson and Dave Mastin.
