The latest club evening 10 mile time trial was held in good conditions on the Fowlmead course. There were a number of PB’s across the board in a field of 14 juniors and 34 seniors.
Fastest junior was Ollie Robinson with a PB of 23.27, beating last week’s top junior, Olly Dickson (23.38), into second place by 11 seconds. Making their first appearances at an evening 10 this year were Maddie Bazin (28.31) and Lee Mills (27.30).
Fastest senior rider was Sam Bradford of PMR with 21.37, edging out Mark Hill of Velo Refined by just 4 seconds. Seb Dickson was fastest Thanet RC rider, unwinding after having just finished his exams, and he recorded 21.48, beating Simon Henderson by 3 seconds. In fact just 14 seconds covered the top 4 finishers.
Next week, the event is a 4-up team trial over 7 laps of the Fowlmead circuit, so time to get your teams together for this popular event. Also, if you are able to help in any way, please let Simon Henderson know.
Thanks as usual go to our helpers, Teresa Childs, Chris Redmond, Ken Sheppard, Andy McCall and Dave Mastin.
