The second of the evening 10 mile time trials at Betteshanger was held in cool and breezy conditions. Although it was warm and sunny in the car park for signing on, it was a different story up on the track, as regulars will testify! In total, 62 riders signed on, 14 juniors, 46 seniors and a 2-up team.

Times for most riders were a bit quicker than the previous week, although a few riders dropped a few seconds. Fastest junior was Oliie Robinson, fresh from a fine placing in a road race in Belgium just a few days before. Ollie’s time was 21.17, which was just a second slower than that posted by Dan Martin, our fastest senior rider (21.16). The 2-up pairing of Chris and Nic Fennell recorded a time of 20.24. See the PDF files bellows for the times of all riders.

Helpers this week were Teresa and Lance Childs, Shawn Manning, Rick Perkins, John Beggs, Pete Huckstep, Paul Griffiths, Brian Hood, Terry Fearn, Andy McCall and Dave Mastin.

Note: next week’s event is a 25 mile time trial with a prompt start at 6.15pm on the top loop at the back of the circuit. Signing on will close at 6.00pm.
