This week’s evening “10” was held on the Thanet Way course and attracted a small field of just 11 riders. The weather was very windy, which had put off a number of riders, while others were either in France for Le Tour, or saving their energy for the PMR “10” the following day.

Times were affected by the strong wind from the north, with Huck Garip fastest with 23.02, beating fastest TRC rider Simon Henderson into second place. To give you an idea of the conditions, Simon recorded 23.24, which is over a minute and a half off his best time for the course this year.

As usual, our thanks go to our volunteers who made the event happen; Terry & Jenny Fearn, Dan & Lawrence Martin, Tony Arnold, Malcolm Adams, Andy McCall and Dave Mastin.

Please Note: Due to long term roadworks on the Thanet Way course, the events on 16th July, 30th July and 6th August have been moved to Fowlmead, 6:30pm start prompt! There is no event on 23rd July.
