Thanet RC Go-Ride sessions are starting again this Saturday 3rd Nov in a new venue.
Saturday 10-11:30am, at the Drapers Mills Primary School in Margate. Suitable for all riders aged 16 and under who can ride a bike without stabilisers. The venue is mostly grass, so cyclo-cross or mountain bikes will be most suitable, although road bikes will also be OK. The venue has toilets and a shelter, but make sure you bring warm clothes (including gloves), and a drink. Helmets must be worn at all times.
This session will be free of charge to all riders on 3rd November, for the first week only! The usual cost will be £2 per child.
Coaching will be a variety of Go-Ride skills suitable for beginners to experienced riders, as well as opportunities for riders to complete some of the British Cycling Talent Development Activities (performances on these are used for selection for British Cycling’s pathway sessions). https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/zuvvi/media/bc_files/gb_team/2018/Talent_Development_Handbook_2018.pdf/
As this is a new season, all riders will need a new parental consent form completing before they can take part in the session. To avoid too much paperwork time at the start of the session, I have attached the new British Cycling Form if you would like to print and complete it beforehand.
Any parents willing to help with sign-on and coordinating the consent forms would be greatly appreciated!
Let me know if you have any questions,
See you on Saturday!
