Club members made up 20% of the field for the first local solo 25 mile time trial. It was held on the popular Q25/8 Chilham course. What was not so popular with the riders was the cool conditions, with temperatures early on just a few degrees above freezing. The wind was light and the sun soon burnt off the pockets of mist on the lower parts of the course.
As in recent events, club riders featured well in the top end of the results, with 5 in the top 10 and 8 in the top 16. Those 8 riders all managed to get under the hour. The club claimed the fastest ride with Chris Fennell returning a time of 53.33 on his first ride of the year. Chris had a comfortable margin of more than 1 minute over James Mapley (Blazing Saddles) in second place.
