Dear Members,
The club had an excellent showing at last week’s KCA Reliability Trial. A large group completed the 100 mile course and many more were out on the 100 and 50 km rides. When this effort is considered by size of the club, I think that we put out the strongest showing on the day.
In the final analysis, Thanet RC scored 139 points against SFA 143 – figures dimly remembered from today’s KCA lunch so please correct me if I have got this wrong – in any case it was very close but SFA retain the Rootes Trophy with Thanet RC in second place.
That said, I think that we might claim some sort of moral victory and congratulate ourselves on a tremendous performance; SFA is a much larger club than us, judging by their website they have about twice the number of members that we have. The points totals show that it was a very close competition and that we can win next year.
Well done to all who rode this event,
Jim.
