Apologies if you have already see one of these on facebook or email but I wanted to try and send out this information to everyone in the club.
I may be planning a Club trip to Bedgebury forest on Saturday 25th July (there are races on that morning which the club could join in with if we get their early enough as Sign on starts at 9:30am with first race off around 10am or we could go later and have to avoid the trails used for the racing until around 2pm) or as a few people have already said they can’t make that day maybe Sat 1st August? If you would like to join us please email me and include your preferred date and I’ll keep a list of names, there would be no club charge for this one (only Bedgebury’s parking charge which is around £8-£10 for the day)
I have also managed to book a club coached session at Herne Hill Velodrome in London (For those of you that don’t know this is a tarmac outdoor track, longer than the wooden track at Lee Valley) The session would be open to all Go ride Kids and parents (Max of 30 riders hopefully 50/50 split adults and kids) and the session would be on Sun 9th August from 1pm to 3pm, the track hire includes bike hire so if you don’t have a track bike (fixed wheel, NO brakes) then you can borrow one and there is no age restriction they have tiny track bikes for anyone 6 +. To cover the cost of track hire and coaches this would cost £10 per head. Please let me know asap if you are interested and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. We’ll hope for a nice sunny day and you will need a picnic as there is no cafe onsite!
