If anyone is interested in the press trip below (I’ll require an article) then get in touch: editor(at)cyclingworldmag.co.uk
As you’ll probably know, the Tour of Britain is just a month away. Stage 5 is taking place on the 8th September with
the beautiful Wye Valley and Forest of Dean making up the middle section of the route.
I’d like to invite you to stay in the region during the Tour to experience the excitement first hand, including the chance to ride in the official Tour of Britain press car following the race.
Once the tour has moved on, I would help you make the most of everything the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean has to offer on a mini-cycling break.
The region boasts some of the most beautiful road routes in the country, winding down the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
There are also an estimated 72km worth of waymarked trails with the nationally acclaimed Verderer’s Trail attracting 70,000 riders each year
At the Cannop Cycling Centre you can discover Outdoor Dirt Jumps, 4X, Dual Slalom, Indoor Dirt Jumps and the UK’s 1st Velosolutions Pump Track. There’s also Launchpad – the only trail in the country for downhill wheelchair bikes.
For little legs and relaxing rides, there are miles of family-friendly tracks through ancient woodland.
I could arrange a stay in one of the many bike-friendly hotels or cottages and tailor the cycling to your preferences whether you want to enjoy an active family break or an off-road adventure. There’s also some fantastic food and drink to be enjoyed including many pubs and cafes that specialise in accommodating cyclists.
