Sunday 15th June KCA 100 Q100/Kingsnorth.
There were 3 TRC entrants for the annual KCA 100 starting in Kingsnorth, heading into Ashford then 2 long laps around Brenzett, Rye, Camber and Lydd.
The event started in cloudy, dry and reasonably warm conditions with a slight N/NE breeze that increased during the event.
Back in Kingsnorth pavilion after the event many were discussing how the last 20 miles seemed much harder as the breeze had got up.
Despite the testing conditions Rob Milnes and Rick Perkins both recorded PB’s for the event.
Thanks go to all the organisers and helpers who ran the event – we enjoyed it really!
TRC times (start order)
Simon Henderson 04:12:08
Rick Perkins 04:25:52
Rob Milnes 04:35:05
The event winner was Kevin Tye (Velo-refined Aerosmith’s) 03:51:35. Velo picked up the team prize with 3 riders all under 4 hours!
There was also much discussion around the performance of the day…… Ex member Shay Giles who was fastest rider on age standard and completed the event with a 04:18:30 (including a puncture stop) Epic.
