The latest evening “10” mile time trial at Betteshanger CP was held in dry conditions, in spite of several local heavy showers in East Kent. The wind was behind the riders once again down the main straight, but not as strong as the previous week. Consequently, times for most riders were an improvement, including course PBs for Bill Hawkes and Chris Fennell. I would guess that other riders may have got a PB too?
We had a total of 22 riders take part, 17 seniors and 5 juniors.
Dougie Tulett was our fastest boy with a good time of 24.20. Fastest girl was Nina Reid, who recorded a fine time of 28.47, which is another second off the age record she set a few weeks earlier. William Tulett was in the recumbent once again and finished with a time of 24.13.
Top of the senior times was Chris Fennell (The Independent Pedaler) once again with a course PB of 18.40. Second place and fastest Thanet RC senior, also with a course PB, was Bill Hawkes in a time of 21.01. Faye Faiers came out on top of the times for the women riders with 25.56
