Conditions were similar to those of last week, that is, warm but with the ever-present Betteshanger wind. A total of 20 riders signed for the event, with 5 juniors, 13 seniors and a 2-up team. With similar conditions to the previous week, those riders who rode last week recorded times that were either a few seconds quicker, or just a bit slower.
This week’s fastest junior was Alex Dack. Riding a road bike, Alex posted a very good time of 23.41. Third place, and fastest girl was Nina Reid in a time of 29.00.
Regarding the senior riders, Lance Childs (TAAP Endura) retained his record of coming first, this week with a slightly improved time of 20.11. Will he get that 19 minute ride this year? In second place was fastest Thanet RC rider, Neil Gerrard in a time of 21.47, while Faye Faiers was top of the times of the women riders in 26.29. Sharon Taylor came along to try out the event and posted a good time of 28.54. Finally, the 2-up team of Ola Zdzieblowska and Richard McVey finished with a time of 27.28.
Times of all the riders are in the table.
