After the good weather of the previous week, it was back to the conditions we have become used to in recent weeks at Betteshanger. It was grey, breezy, and with some light rain too. Consequently, this affected the times of most riders who were unable to match their times from last week. This week’s field consisted of 13 senior and 5 junior riders.
As expected, Dougie Tulett headed the times of the juniors with 24.36, some way off his excellent PB’s from his two previous rides in the past week. Nina Reid was top of the times for the girls with 29.13. And it was great to see Alice Tulett back after a couple of weeks away, and she improved her PB to 33.41. She has Jenny Fearn firmly in her sights now!
Fastest of the seniors was Neil Gerrard in a time of 22.13, beating second claim member Pete Elms by just 11 seconds. As we have come to expect, fastest woman rider was Faye Faiers once again with 26.55.
The accompanying table has the times of all riders.
Many thanks to our group of helpers; this week they were Terry Fearn, Steve Wright, Malcolm Adams, Michael Friend, Andy McCall and Dave Mastin.
