A smaller field turned up for this week’s evening "10" mile time trial at Betteshanger CP. 20 riders signed on, but only 18 started due to two riders having technical issues. Conditions were warm but breezy with a headwind as riders came down the main straight.
Just 5 juniors took part, and it was a PB for the fastest boy, DougieTulett, with a time of 25.07. We should see a 24 minute ride from him before the end of the summer. Ferne Peirce was the quickest girl in a time of 27.05. All of the juniors will be back on the track this Saturday when they take part in the area heat of the GHS competition.
There was no surprise to see Bill Hawkes top the times for the senior riders with 21.22, while Faye Faiers claimed her usual position as fastest woman. Faye’s time was 26.11.
Please see the PDF files for all times. Helpers this week were Malcolm Adams, Roger Dewen, Andy McCall and Dave Mastin.
