The weather for the first of the 2022 evening time trials at Betteshanger CP was chilly and grey, but with light winds. Just 20 riders signed on to test their legs, and in some cases, test their new bikes as well.
Seven juniors rode, with Pepe and Felix Lopez making their debuts at an evening time trial. The fastest junior was also the fastest girl, Tallulah Butcher recording a good time of 26.38. Dougie Tulett was second and the fastest boy with a very respectable time of 27.19.
The quickest senior rider by a margin of over a minute was second claim member, Lance Childs. His time was a fine 21.55. Paul Reid was third in 24.27 and fastest first claim member, while Tanya Scott was the best of the women members in a time of 27.33.
