The first of the regular evening 10’s attracted a smaller than usual field of 39 riders, 6 juniors and 33 seniors. This may have been as a result of holidays and the changeable weather earlier in the afternoon putting a number of riders off. Conditions were bright but cold with a stiff south westerly breeze, and so it was not a good day to get a PB.
Fastest of the juniors was Dan Martin with a very respectable 22.55, which was also the 3rd fastest time overall. Tom Hutton did an extra lap, but his time for 10 miles was calculated to be 34.03 .
Chris Fennell was both fastest senior rider and fastest Thanet RC rider with 21.35, over 1 minute ahead of Simon Henderson in second place.
As usual, thanks are due to the volunteers who helped; Pip McVey, Michael Friend, Lawrence Martin, Chris Redmond, Andy McCall and Dave Mastin.
