The second Thanet Way evening 10 mile time trial of the season was held in breezy conditions, with a strong south westerly wind. In spite of the strong wind, the times were not as slow as feared. In total, 18 riders signed on.
For the second week running, second claim member Chris Fennell (PMR) was fastest overall with 21.47, this week riding a road bike instead of his time trial machine. Would Chris still be fastest on an old 20″ wheeled shopper? Possibly! Fastest Thanet RC member was Simon Henderson with 22.12, which gave him second place.
As usual, thanks are due to the band of volunteers who turned out to ensure that the event could take place; Terry & Jenny Fearn, Steve Wright, Teresa Childs (with Lance and Leo), Tony Arnold, Rick Perkins, Malcolm Adams and Dave Mastin.
