It was a cool day with hazy sunshine for the club’s annual hill climb on the St Margarets Bay course. Seven riders took to the start line, including two junior riders.
Fastest rider up the hill was Matt Seward in a time of 2 minutes, 41.0 seconds. Second place went to the quickest junior, Toby Clayson of VC Deal. Toby’s time was 2 minutes, 46.3 seconds, and he did lose a bit of time with traffic at the hairpin so he may well have challenged Matt for top spot.
Times of all riders is as follows:-
1st Matt Seward Thanet RC 2:41.0,
2nd Toby Clayson VC Deal 2:46.3, (1st junior)
3rd James Pease-Watkin Deal Tri 2:48.9,
4th Jeremy Edwards Thanet RC 2:57.6,
5th Danny Frost Deal Tri 3:36.2,
6th Michael Friend Thanet RC 4:10.6,
7th Harrison King Thanet RC 5:26.8 (1st Thanet RC junior and PB).
A big thank you to all our helpers, George Chitteden, Paul Griffiths, Colin Inett, Pete Huckstep, Andy McCall and Dave Mastin.
