There was an excellent turnout for the annual club hill climb on the short but sharp St Margarets course. The weather was sunny with an easterly breeze for the riders who signed on to try and overcome gravity! In total, 27 riders took part, including eight juniors and three ladies.
Fastest climb of the day was by Keith Watson of Adalta CC with a very good time of 2 minutes 7.5 seconds. Just over a second behind was the fastest junior rider, Chris Hyde of Wigmore CC with 2 minutes 8.7 seconds. Third place went to defending champion Jasom Oram (Thanet RC second claim) with 2 minutes 11.9 seconds. Fastest lady was Adalta CC rider, Emma Lewis, in 2 minutes 49.0 seconds.
Fastest Thanet RC rider and new club hill climb champion is Rob Milnes with a time of 2 minutes 27.3 seconds, just edging out fastest Thanet RC junior, Dan Martin who recorded 2 minutes 29.7 seconds.
