The new years day 10 mile TT at Betteshanger CP was held in bright but cold and breezy conditions. The turnout included some new bikes and some new riders too. In total, 30 riders took part, made up from 7 juniors and 23 seniors. Taking part for the first time in her own right was Sorcha Goode, who previously rode with either of her twins, William and Harriet Butcher. Alex Murphy was another new rider testing himself against the clock and the Betteshanger wind.
George Pittock topped the time for the juniors on his road bike with 25.06, while Tallulah Butcher was the fastest girl in third place with a time of 29.07. Nick Scott was best of the senior riders with 22.29, just 7 seconds ahead of Nic Fennell (22.36) who was on his road bike. The fastest woman was Jo Smith in a time of 25.51. Jo’s time was good enough to place her 4th overall in the senior field.
Times of all riders can be found in the attached PDF files.
