Race Report (from Rob Milnes)
Thanet RC had 3 members of the race team racing at a very windy Cyclo Park this morning. This was the 4th race of the SERRL winter series with a strong field of around 80 riders.
The Cat 4s went first with a fast pace from the off, Rob Milnes nearly lost it on the first lap ‘overcooking’ it on one of the tight left turns, but luckily stayed upright! After around 4 laps Mark Palmer suffered a mechanical, took a lap out, got the bike fixed and rejoined the race. The 3rds went 90 seconds behind the 4ths; Bill Hawkes put some big efforts in on the front helping to bridge the gap to the 4ths, which transpired around 8 laps in.
Bill placed in a very respectable position of 18th. Mark and Rob finished mid field.
