Toby Hammond took his first win as a senior rider in the Cat 2-3 race as part of the University of Kent crit races on Sunday. Toby got in a break of 8 half way through the race and took a fine sprint win by half a wheel. Toby was supported by the rest of his team who enabled Toby’s group to stay away. Tom Lowther just missed a top 10 in 11th and the rest of the team finished in the peloton: Rob Milner, Alex Ashman and Charlie Burgess.
Abigail Langley continued her good form with 4th in the women’s Cat 2-3 race just missing the winning move of 3 riders with local rider Zoe Bartlett winning the sprint finish.
The final race was the men’s Cat 4 race with TRCs rider Shawn Manning gaming a fine 3rd place and Andrew Morrell again showing great improvement finishing mid main group in about 14th place.
Well done to all and thanks to all the organisers and helpers from the University.
