For the second consecutive week, the evening 10 mile time trial at Betteshanger was affected by the weather. The main issue was the strong south west wind, although there was the threat of rain as well. Luckily, the rain held off and the sun even made a brief appearance,
A few riders decided not to ride, leaving a total of 19 riders taking to the start line, including 6 juniors.
On the whole, times were down a little on the previous week, although some riders did post improvements. One of those was Ferne Peirce who topped the times of the junior riders and was first girl with a time of 26.34. Second place went to the fastest boy, which once again was Dougie Tulett. Dougie’s time was 26.54.
Second claim member Shawn Manning took the top spot in the senior race with 22.51, while Paul Reid in second place was first of the Thanet RC riders in a time of 24.21. Faye Faiers recorded a time of 27.17 for the honour of quickest woman rider.
See the PDF files below for the times of all riders.
