The latest evening “10” at Betteshanger was eventually held in good conditions, although an hour before the start, riders were sheltering from the rain, wondering whether to ride or not. Then the sun came out and there was a rush to sign on. Conditions in the end were good except for a wet track which caused a few punctures. The wind was light from a southerly direction but it was cool in spite of the sunshine. There were a number of PB’s including Lance Childs (age record for a 12 year old), Dave Danton, Nic Fennell and Sue Shields to name just a few.
In the end, 12 juniors and 45 seniors signed on. The fastest of the juniors was Olllie Robinson with 22.47, which was also the third fastest time overall. Our fastest senior was second claim member Jon Parker (Team Bottrill) with a very quick time of 20.16, some way ahead of Simon Henderson who was second with 22.11.
Times are in the attached PDF documents.
This weeks helpers were Teresa Childs, Chris Redmond, Trevor Hammond, Tony Arnold, Terry Fearn, Andy McCall and Dave Mastin.
