Conditions were much better this week at Betteshanger, with plenty of warmth and a light south westerly breeze. This led to quite a few actual and/or course PB’s throughout the field.
Nine juniors took part, with top spot going to Charlie Burgess with 24.54. Second place and top girl was Catherine Morrell with a time of 25.14, which actually made her the fastest female on the night.
The senior field contained 27 riders, and once again, Dan Martin of the University of Bath CC was quickest. Dan achieved his goal of getting under 20 minutes, albeit by just one second, recording 19.59. With Nic Fenell not finishing due to a puncture, second spot and fastest TRC rider was Shawn Manning in 21.41. The fastest woman this week was TRC’s Kim Wood with 25.59.
Finally, the tandem pairing of Sue Shields and Andy McCall improved once again with 26.05.
