Due to the uncertainty of the weather, just a handful of riders took part in the latest evening “10” at Betteshanger CP. In spite of this, the 13 riders who took part missed the rain, which only arrived as the last rider finished. The wind was not too strong, coming from the south west, meaning a headwind down the main straight.
Three juniors took part, with Lance Childs of VC Londres coming in first with 23.17, which was also the second best time of the evening. First girl, and first Thanet RC rider was Harriet Butcher with 38.32.
Second claim member, Dan Martin (University of Bath CC) was a clear winner in the senior field with 20.36. This was over three minutes ahead of Ryan Hosking (23.38) in second place, while third place went to Lawrence Martin, who was the quickest Thanet RC rider with 23.42.
Times of all riders are to be found in the included PDF file.
Our helpers this week were Terry Fearn, Teresa Childs, Pete Huckstep, Malcolm Adams, Andy McCall and Dave Mastin.
