The popular Wigmore-Bill Philbrook Memorial 25 mile time trial was reduced to 10 miles due to traffic lights on the course. The event was run on a version of the rarely used Q10/6 course from Chlham to Thanington and back. It was a breezy and cold day with temperatures around the 4C mark.
Club members made up a fair proportion of the field, and there was success for two of our second claim members. Natasha Jarman was 5th woman with 30.20, and Chris Fennell was first on scratch with a fine 20.00, which was a significant update of the previous course record. Emma Lewis, the other Independent Pedaler, not only broke the woman’s course but came 4th overall in 22.16.
